Question: What is a Compatible Toner?
Answer: To make a compatible toner, the manufacturer starts with a used, empty OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Toner Cartridge. Next the cartridge is disassembled, all components are carefully checked for wear or damage, the cartridge is cleaned, the drum, blade, and any parts not up to standards are replaced.
After the cartridge is filled with the appropriate toner, it is reassembled, tested in a printer, sealed, and packaged for shipment.
In many cases all that remains of the original cartridge is the outside shell.
